WATCH: Roads flooded at Walkerston after days of heavy rain in the Mackay region:
Water is rushing under the Kirkup Bridge over the Peak Downs Highway at Walkerston. Flooding has also closed the road near Bourkes Crossing at Pugsley St to traffic.
 
BOM meterologist Rosa Hoff said it had been a wet and rainy silly season, with more than 200mm falling on some towns in just six days.
Ms Hoff said Proserpine had the most rain, with 212mm since Christmas.
Mackay recived 190.6mm, Clermont residents copped 105mm while Moranbah had 100mm since Friday December 25.
The gloomy weather may have disrupted some residents holiday plans, but for farmers it was a blessing. ....
