A big weekend of television wrapped up with the return of Beauty and The Geek on Sunday night, with an average of 808,000 metro viewers tuning in to watch the reality show on Nine.
Those numbers were up on the last two seasons of the program when it aired on Seven, with 612,000 metro viewers watching in 2014 and the 804,000 metro viewers who tuned into the 2013 launch.
Beauty and the Geek was also the #1 metro program on Sunday night and won the three key advertising demos, but was beaten in the national figures by Seven’s Farmer Wants A Wife.
The latter had 670,000 metro viewers but 1.086 million nationally, ahead of Beauty and the Geek’s 1.001 million. ....

Lego Masters continues to bring in viewers for Nine, with the Hamish Blake hosted program airing to 811,000 metro viewers on Sunday night, securing the top spot among non-news programming.
The program came in ahead of MasterChef Australia, which took 892,000 metro viewers for Ten, and Seven’s Big Brother, watched by 534,000 metro viewers.
Lego Masters’ performance also helped Nine to a nightly network share win with 30.8% ahead of Seven on 26.5%, Ten with 20.1% and ABC with 14.4%, with the program also winning all three key advertising demos.
Among other Sunday programming, ABC’s Spicks and Specks brought on 530,000 metro viewers, to rank seventh for the night. Meanwhile, Seven’s AFL: Sunday Afternoon Football was watched by 530,000 metro viewers (the bulk of which were in Perth and Melbourne). ....

The season finale of Married at First Sight capped-off another successful outing for Nine, with an average of 1.398 million metro viewers watching the social experiment’s reunion.
The show peaked at 1.398 million metro viewers, with the finale throwing up a cheating scandal for good measure. It helped Nine to another single-channel and network share win for Sunday night.
That was enough to take out the title of the biggest audience of 2021, beating Oprah’s interview with Harry and Meghan (which aired on Ten to 1.366 million metro viewers). ....
