Forum urges African states to ‘leave no community behind’ in pursuit of SDGs and Agenda 2063
Addis Ababa, March 10, 2021 (ECA) - Localizing the implementation and monitoring of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the African Union s Agenda 2063 is a firm foundation for accelerating progress across Africa.
This was a recurring message echoed by national and government officials at the seventh session of the Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development.
Addressing the urgency swift progress, Ms. Amina Mohamed, Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations said Now is the time to reignite the Decade of Action to deliver the Sustainable Development Goals . Likewise, the host government of the Republic of Congo, represented by its Minister of Tourism and Environment, Arlette Soudan Nonault, underscored the enormity of the task ahead with only 10 years to achieve the SDGs a ....

Addis Ababa, March 10, 2021 (ECA) - Localizing the implementation and monitoring of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the African Union’s Agenda 2063 is a firm foundation for accelerating progress across Africa.
This was a recurring message echoed by national and government officials at the seventh session of the Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development.

HerCity: Digital Toolbox for Sustainable, Equal and Inclusive Cities


The digital guideline presents a cost-efficient process that includes 9 building blocks on how to co-plan cities from a girl’s perspective. The 9 blocks represent the three phases of the urban development process. They guide the users through the assessment phase (block 1-3), the design phase (block 4-6), and the implementation phase (block 7-9). Moreover, each one of the blocks contains a number of activities with detailed steps to follow, and tools such as checklists, calendars, agendas, manuals, forms, boards, apps, templates, surveys, and visualization services.
