Work hard to strengthen party: Dharmendra Pradhan to BJP workers | Bhubaneswar News

Dharmendra Pradhan
BHUBANESWAR: Union petroleum minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday appealed the BJP workers to double their effort to fulfil Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a new and self-reliant Odisha. He said this while attending the state executive meeting of Odisha BJP.
“We should not work to become an MLA or MP of an area, but we need to work for the all-round development of Odisha under PM’s Purvodaya call by taking it as a political mission,” said Pradhan.
He said BJP is doing well due to the hard work of party workers and blessings of the people. “It is reflected in the 2019 election too. With the mantra of Seva, Sangathan, Sampark and Sangharsh, the BJP Odisha family is committed to serve the people of Odisha and also fulfil PM’s vision of Purvodaya and Aatmanirbhar Bharat,” he added.

In 2020, people began to see cops in a new light: Bhubaneswar-Cuttack CP Sudhansu Sarangi | Bhubaneswar News

Bhubaneswar-Cuttack commissioner of police Sudhanshu Sarangi
BHUBANESWAR: The year 2020 gone by saw an unprecedented increase in the workload of the police personnel. Bhubaneswar-Cuttack commissioner of police Sudhanshu Sarangi speaks to Debabrata Mohapatra on the road ahead for the twin cities police.
What were the biggest challenges of 2020?
Since mid-March, we have been assisting public health officials in slowing down the pandemic. Enforcing the lockdown measures with empathy and minimizing the health risks to staff were significant challenges. People have seen police in a new way during this epidemic. I hope this enhanced trust will mitigate some of the baggage of our colonial legacy and allow a new narrative about police to emerge. Losing seven of our personnel to Covid-19 was heart-wrenching.
