A smattering of loose plywood caused a multivehicle wreck in Hopkins Wednesday.
The Hopkins Police Department said the incident occurred on northbound Highway 169 at Excelsior Boulevard. The plywood was apparently on a trailer, but came loose, scattering itself across the road.
The crash, involving multiple vehicles, resulted in a traffic back-up. Only minor injuries were reported. Photos show at least a dozen large sheets of plywood gathered on the highway.
It seems like every few months, authorities across the state issue warnings for unsecured loads a term that describes any loose debris that falls from cars or trucks. ....

Fake DL racket busted, terror angle to be probed | Nagpur News

Nagpur: Nagpur rural police and Regional Transport Office (rural) claimed to have busted a racket of fake driving licence by arresting one Nawab Jamir Baig, a resident of Mouda, on Monday. The joint team of police and RTO also seized a computer, printer, photo paper, eight fake driving licences, and material being used to print licences and other materials worth Rs 65,040.
Assistant motor vehicle inspector Amit Karad said the raid was carried out after a citizen tipped off the Mouda police that Baig, who runs a photo studio in the city, used to prepare fake driving licence. Subsequently, the police along with a team of rural RTO laid a trap and on Monday raided Baig’s studio. ....

FAISALABAD: The city traffic police Tuesday started issuing driving licences after a hiatus of three weeks due to coronavirus-induced lockdown.
A spokesperson for the traffic police Muhammad Ismael said traffic police had temporarily closed driving licence branches including learner permit, renewal of driving licence and driving schools due to high rate of coronavirus positivity rate. Now, all the branches have been reopened and citizens by adopting corona SOPs could contact respective branches for getting driving licences, he added.
Meanwhile, CTO Shahzada Umar Abbas directed the staff to ensure implementation of SOPs during office hours. ....
