Mumbai, May 21 (IANS) When Salman Khan announced his much-awaited Eid release Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai would have a hybrid release, there were mixed reactions all around. With theatrical release mainly in the overseas market besides a negligible number of halls in India, Radhe dropped on the pay-per-view (PPV) platform Zeeplex for viewers in the country. The industry was looking at a new way of taking films to the viewers, one that had never been tried out in the country before.

Vaccines effective but overseas travel still not safe: WHO

COPENHAGEN: Progress against the coronavirus pandemic remains “fragile” and international travel should be avoided, the World Health Organisation’s Europe director warned on Thursday, but stressed that authorised vaccines do work against variants of concern.
“Right now, in the face of a continued threat and new uncertainty, we need to continue to exercise caution, and rethink or avoid international travel,” Hans Kluge said, adding that “pockets of increasing transmission” on the continent could quickly spread.
The so-called Indian variant, which may be more transmissible, has now been identified in at least 26 of the 53 countries in the WHO Europe region, Kluge said during his weekly press conference. ....

The biggest update for the Nissan Micra (March) facelift is its front exterior styling. While the model’s silhouette and overall proportions are just like the
Micra that was sold in India, the updated model gets a completely reworked nose with more angular looks. Changes include a new hood and fender design, new grille, headlamps and bumper. This update brings the Micra s styling in line with Nissan’s current global design language.
On the inside, the cabin and dashboard design are also almost identical to the pre-update Micra that was offered in India, with the main difference being its left-hand-drive layout. Nissan has, however, added more features to the cabin, as the facelift gets a 6.75-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, as well as new steering wheel with steering mounted controls for media and telephony. ....

Islamabad : Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced the Overseas Scholarships 2022 for PhD in selected fields and MS/MPhil in Engineering Technology.
According to the sources, applications are invited from outstanding Pakistani/AJK nationals for the award of Ph.D. and MS/MPhil scholarships.
Ph.D. scholarships are being offered in selected fields, whereas MS/MPhil scholarships are being offered in Engineering Technology, the sources told APP.
Scholarships will be awarded for Spring/Fall (2022) session in HEC-identified top-ranked foreign universities of advanced countries.
According to the details, as per eligibility criteria, the candidate must be a Pakistani/AJK national. While for Ph.D. scholarships, candidates must have a minimum qualification of MS/MPhil/ME or equivalent (18 years) before the closing date. ....
