CBP helicopter rescues injured hiker on El Paso mountain


An U.S. Customs and Border Protection helicopter landed on a mountain to help rescue an injured hiker on Easter Sunday afternoon in McKelligon Canyon in El Paso.
A 48-year-old woman was hiking on a Sugarloaf Mountain trail when she fell, injured her knee and was unable to walk at about 1 p.m. Sunday, El Paso Fire Department spokesman Enrique Dueñas-Aguilar and CBP officials said.
The woman, who called 911, was hiking with at least one other person, Dueñas-Aguilar said.
It took hours for a rescue crew from the Combined Search and Rescue, or ComSAR, team to reach the injured woman, Dueñas-Aguilar said. ....
