Huron County is working to renew a contract it has with Thumb Animal Shelter to provide a shelter for the stray dogs of the area.
The previous contract the county had with the shelter was first signed in 2012 and was effective for three years, with two three-year extensions of that contract occurring since then. The county has paid the shelter $2,250 per month as part of the contract. ....
