GUWAHATI: With a target of 100 plus seats together with allies, BJP has restructured the five-year-old rainbow North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) in Assam ahead of the assembly election by snapping old friendship and forging new ties and by merger of a couple of allies. The region’s biggest regional party, Asom Gana Party remains as BJP’s best friend. BJP came to power in 2016 leading the alliance comprising four regional parties AGP, Bodoland People’s Front, Tiwa Aikya Mancha and Rabha Joutha Sangram Samiti.
