ISLAMABAD: Four armed persons were arrested from a house near the Red Zone on Saturday night.
Police said they received information about presence of robbers in the house located in G-6. In response, a team, including officials from the Crisis Response Team, Counter-Terrorism Force and patrolling staff reached the area and cordoned it off.
Superintendent of Police City Omer Khan and Deputy Inspector General of Police (Operations) Waqaruddin Syed also reached the spot. Seeing the police, the gunmen threatened to kill an elderly resident of the house.
They showed their weapons to the police and also fired from the house, said the police. Talks were conducted with the armed men after which they came out of the house and surrendered. ....
