A Pakistani zoo is under scrutiny after two extremely rare 11-week-old white tiger cubs died last month from what appears to be Covid-19, officials say.
The cubs died in the Lahore Zoo on January 30 just days after they started treatment for feline panleukopenia virus, a disease that targets the immune system of cats and is common in Pakistan. ....

Eleven Iranian nationals were arrested infiltrating the US-Mexico border earlier this week. The group was apprehended near San Luis, Arizona.
The group was unusual for its size, with five women and six men. Nationals of hostile countries seeking to infiltrate the border have usually traveled as individuals or small groups. The group was arrested almost immediately after crossing the border.
The federal government does perform deportations to Iran, usually deporting nationals with the cooperation of European countries that have formal diplomatic relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran. However, President Biden has moved to put a halt to all deportations from the United States, and its likely that individuals from nations such as Iran will face an easy path to permanent residency in the immigration court system. ....

LAHORE: FIFA installed Normalisation Committee for Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) in September 2019 with Humza Khan as its chairman, giving it the mandate to hold PFF elections by June 2020. However, the committee failed to meet the deadline due to various reasons. Its tenure was then extended until December 31, 2020, but once again it failed to meet the deadline. The mandate has now been extended to June 30, 2021. However, this time the NC chairman is Canada-based football enthusiast Haroon Malik.
It’s a tough task for Haroon to conduct elections in the environment in which football community of Pakistan finds itself deeply divided. However, he hopes the task will be completed provided no further complications and legal issues arose. ....
