Telangana logs 1321 new Covid cases, 5 deaths By PTI| Posted by Sameer | Updated: 4th April 2021 3:00 pm IST Representational Photo Hyderabad: Telangana reported 1,321 fresh COVID-19 cases, the highest single-day spike so far this year, pushing the tally to over 3.12 lakh, while the toll rose to 1,717 with five more fatalities. Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the most number of cases with 320, followed by Medchal Malkajgiri 144 and Rangareddy 121, a government bulletin said on Sunday providing details as of 8 pm on April 3. The total number of cases stood at 3,12,140, while 293 patients were cured, taking the total recoveries to 3,02,500. Active cases The state has 7,923 active cases and 62,973 samples were tested on Saturday. Cumulatively, nearly 1.04 crore samples have been tested. ....

Share Via Email | A+A A- Express News Service HYDERABAD: Private tertiary care hospitals in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits have been recording a steep rise in occupancy of Covid-19 beds for the past couple of weeks, with some well-known ones reaching full capacity. As on date, of the 2,228 beds occupied in private hospitals across Telangana, 1,281 are in the GHMC limits. An analysis of the medical bulletin shows that even though there are around 81 major private hospitals in the GHMC limits, only 16 have over 50 beds reserved for Covid-19 treatment. Of these 16, nearly a dozen have reached almost full capacity and the others are 50 per cent full. The number of smaller private hospitals with Covid-19 beds has increased in Hyde ....
