Suspect killed in Kirkwood farm attack

Police at Kirkwood in the Eastern Cape are investigating an attack on a farm in the early hours of Wednesday morning in which a robbery suspect was shot dead and another wounded.
Sergeant Majola Nkholi says at least five armed suspects are believed to have been involved in the attack on a homeowner and his family.
He says the farmer managed to get hold of his firearm and that a suspect was killed and another wounded when shots went off in an ensuing scuffle.
Sergeant Nkohli says the other three suspects fled in a silver Toyota Avanza which was later spotted on the R75 heading towards Kariega, formerly Uitenhage. ....
