Dentists and doctors are expected to get vaccinated against COVID-19 as outlined in the guidance, jointly released by the Dental Council and the Medical Council of New Zealand today.
“As health care providers, dentists and doctors have a responsibility to get vaccinated to protect themselves, their patients and wider community against COVID-19, unless medically contraindicated,” says Dental Council, Chair Andrew Gray.
Dentists and doctors have an ethical and professional obligation to protect and promote the health of the public. The guidance recognises vaccination is a crucial part of the New Zealand public health response to the COVID-19 pandemic. ....

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (AP) A Moberly man will be sentenced in May after he was convicted of killing a Poplar Bluff man in 2014.
A Butler County jury deliberated only 38 minutes Thursday before finding Curtis Walker, 35, guilty of second-degree murder, armed criminal action and first-degree burglary in the death of 48-year-old Salavador Ruiz Ramirez, KFVS reported.
Ramirez s body was found along the southern banks of the Black River in October 2014. He had been shot in the head, authorities said.
After his body was found, authorities found a car belonging to an acquaintance of Walker s that had been set on fire. They also discovered the Ramirez s home had been burglarized and set on fire. ....

BUTLER COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - A man was found guilty in the 2014 murder of another man.
The jury found Curtis Walker, 35, guilty of second-degree murder, armed criminal action and first-degree burglary on Thursday, April 1. The trial started on Monday.
The jury deliberated for 38 minutes before returning their verdict.
Walker faces up to 30 years for second-degree murder, a minimum of three years with no upper limit for armed criminal action and 15 years for first-degree burglary. ....
