Karnataka Government will temporarily suspend the COVID-19 vaccination for the age group of 18 to 44 years from May 14, said officials.
According to the state government, the order will be applicable to all government Covid vaccination centres in the state.
Today the state government has decided that the vaccine procured directly by the state for vaccination of persons between 18 to 44 years will be utilised for vaccination of beneficiaries who are due for the second dose, reads the statement. ....

KC General Hospital, Jayanagar General Hospital, Sir C.V.Raman General Hospital, Government Medical Colleges, ESI Hospitals and Nimhans in Bengaluru will provide vaccination on Monday.
As for districts, district hospitals, government medical colleges and all taluk hospitals will give vaccines initially, and the government will expand the number of vaccination centres in sync with the increase in supply, the minister said. ....

karnataka vaccination: Vaccination of people above 18 in Karnataka may be delayed, says state health minister

Vaccination of people above 18 years of age, which was supposed to start from May 1, may be delayed as the vaccines have not yet arrived, Karnataka Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar said on Friday.
It is not possible for us to start vaccinating people from 18 years to 45 year from tomorrow. Please don t take it otherwise. The moment we get official information, we will let you know, Sudhakar told reporters.

BENGALURU: The Karnataka government may soon set up vaccination centres on the lines of testing centres at big apartment complexes in seven districts.
The suggestion was given by the Covid Advisory Committee after the recent meeting that this kind of initiative will help in speeding up the vaccination process.
We have suggested that setting up vaccination centres at the apartment complexes, where we can have mobile vans with all facilities for monitoring and storage of vaccines and help people come forward to take the vaccines at their doorstep, said Dr CN Manjunath, Member, Covid Advisory Committee and Director of Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases. ....
