Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members detained four suspected international hundi traders along with US $ 190,000 from Jashore town today.
The detainees are Mithu Mandal (27) and Shahidul Islam (23) of Jashore s Sharsha upazila while Sohail Rana alias Hazrat (38) and Rakibul Islam Sagar (20) of Sadar upazila in the same district, reports our Benapole correspondent.
Lt Colonel Md Selim Reza, commanding officer of 49-BGB Battalion, said BGB members took position in Hamidpur area of Jashore town this afternoon on information that a large amount of US dollars, smuggled from India will be carried to Dhaka by a bus. ....

Border Guard Bangladesh personnel yesterday detained two hundi traders with half a million US dollars (Tk 4.40 crore) from Jashore s Ulashi area.
The detainees are Hridoy Mia, 38, from Chandpur s Matlab upazila, and Ashraful Islam, 40, from Cumilla s Daudkandi upazila.
Lt Colonel Md Selim Reza, commanding officer of 49 BGB Battalion, said BGB members took position in Ulashi area of Sharsha upazila yesterday upon information that a large amount of US dollars, smuggled in from India, would be carried to the capital in a private car.
Around noon, they stopped a Dhaka-bound car, searched it and found 50 bundles of dollar bills hidden in the car doors and gear box, he mentioned. ....
