Boys & Girls Club invites public to tour new ‘clubhouse’ on Muskegon Lake

MUSKEGON, MI – Now that the former Lakeshore Fitness Center on Muskegon Lake officially belongs to the Boys & Girls Club, the public is invited inside to tour it.
On Tuesday, May 11, the Boys & Girls Club of the Muskegon Lakeshore, officially closed on the property, 900 W. Western Ave., according to a press release from the club. The property was owned by a Muskegon Community College and operated as a fitness club until it closed last year.
A new clubhouse is planned at the 60,000-square-foot building following a $5 million fundraising campaign that will help pay for renovations. The site includes a pool, gym and waterfront access to Muskegon Lake. ....
