EBONYI State Governor, Dave Umahi, on Thursday assured angry youths that the South-East governors would join their agitation if the reasons for such protest were not addressed after six months.
Umahi gave this assurance while participating in the Presidential Ministerial briefing organised by the Presidential Communications Team at the presidential villa, Abuja.
He, however, requested that youths against the region’s marginalisation should forward their grievances.
The governor urged them to grant their governors six months to discuss with the Federal Government.
The governor said, “I have done stakeholders’ meetings in the 13 Local Government Areas; I have done seven-day prayers. ....

Southern Governors Forum have replied Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr Shehu Malami SAN on his reaction to the ban on open grazing insisting that the decision is irreversible
A statement signed by Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, urged Malami to go to court insisting that the decision of the governor’s on open grazing is final.
“The decision to ban open grazing stays. It will be enforced with vigour.
“I have just read the press statement credited to the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr Shehu Malami SAN on the resolution of the Southern Governors Forum to ban open grazing in their respective States. The AGF is quoted to have said that this reasoned decision, among others, is akin to banning all spare parts dealers in the Northern parts of the country and is unconstitutional. ....

MALACAÑANG has encouraged local chief executives (LCEs) to register for the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccination, stressing they are now included in the Priority A1 list regardless of their risk classification.
In a press briefing Monday, May 17, 2021, Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque said the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) signed Resolution 115-B with the concurrence of the Interim National Immunization Technical Advisory Group (iNitag).
“So mayor and governors, magpabakuna na rin po tayo (get vaccinated),” he said.
Resolution 115-B includes all governors and city and municipal mayors or all local chief executives under the Priority Group A1.5 of the priority population groups for Covid-19 vaccines, regardless of the risk classification of their respective local government units (LGUs). ....
