Council Gives 'finz Up' To High Performance Training Centre Concept

A proposal to convert the existing Council-owned sports
administration building at Lansdowne Park into a High
Performance Training Centre (HPTC) has received the full
support of the Council’s Assets & Services Committee
today.

planned to benefit Marlborough’s high performance

The Tasman Rugby Union tabled the
proposal to lease the former St Johns building. The Union

Work on a significant Blenheim infrastructure upgrade gets underway in Muller Road next week.
Site investigations begin on 12 January as part of the critical works project to replace the wastewater, stormwater and water mains along Muller Road, between Redwood Street and Weld Street. Following this, construction will start at the Redwood Street end on 18 February.
“Over the past 15 years, the expansion of Blenheim’s residential areas has seen more pressure put on existing stormwater and wastewater facilities, some of which are beyond their useful life. New infrastructure is needed,” said Councillor Nadine Taylor, Chair of the Council’s Assets and Services Committee. ....
