To Alhaji Fuseini, the MPs from the NDC caucus are satisfied with their leadership. “The NDC MPs have absolute confidence in their leadership notwithstanding the fact that, yes, we think things can always be better, I have always said that even if you are universally acclaimed for your prowess, you will still need an advert or you still need publicity, you can still improve.” ....
705 The General Secretary of the National Association of Local Authorities of Ghana (NALAG), Mr Kokro Amankwah, has urged regional ministers to package their regions in order to stimulate citizens to participate in entrepreneurial ventures to create employment. That, according to him, would promote micro, small and medium-scale enterprises and create sustainable employment. “To help improve the quality of life of our people, especially youth and women, it is imperative for our regions to focus on Local Economic Development (LED). Let us, therefore, build the economic capacity of our local people to improve their quality of life,” he stated. Mr Amankwah was speaking at a ceremony during which the immediate past Bono East Regional Minister, Mr Kofi Amoakohene, officially handed over to the new minister, Mr Kwasi Adu-Gyan. ....

The meeting, which was held in Parliament, was also to address the concerns of the teeming members and supporters of the party. The last few weeks have witnessed growing differences among some party members at the national level and within the membership, especially with the vetting of ministerial nominees. ....
Graphic Online BY: Nana Konadu Agyeman 705 Four Majority Members of Parliament (MPs) have tabled two Private Members motions for Parliament to investigate alleged interferences by some members of the security agencies and some vigilante groups before, during and after presidential and parliamentary election since 1993. They claim that such interferences resulted in injuries and loss of lives, and are therefore, asking the House to make consequential recommendations. They also want the House to investigate the ethnic, gender, regional and other sectional background of persons recruited into the security forces since January 1993 to establish the level of ethnic, regional and gender balance in the recruitment and appointment to such public offices, and make the appropriate recommendations. ....
