The Central Okanagan school district continues to have the largest number of potential COVID-19 exposures in the Interior, reporting 19 new exposures within the last two weeks.
Within the Central Okanagan, potential exposures include: Kelowna Secondary School with potential exposures from April 12-14, Okanagan Mission Secondary from Apr. 12-16, Rutland Middle School, April 12 and 13, Ellison Elementary School, April 12 and 13, at West Kelowna’s Rose Valley Elementary from April 12-14, Beglo Elementary April 12, 13, Rutland Senior Secondary, April 13 and 14, Pearson Road Elementary from  April 14, 15, Canyon Falls Middle School on April 15, Dr. Knox Middle School on April 14-16, KLO Middle April 12, Glenrosa Middle School, April 15, 16, 19, Spring Valley Middle School, April 15, 16, 19, George Elliot Secondary, April 19, Central Programs and Services April 20, 21 and 23, Constable Neil Bruce Middle School, April 20, 21, and 23 ....

Teachers at 10 Kelowna area schools thought they were going to get their COVID-19 jabs on April 1, but within hours they learned they d beed fooled by what is being chalked up to be a communication error.
According to a teacher who was lined up to get immunized, staff at the schools that were selected for having the highest number of exposure events were elated to learn they’d get COVID-19 vaccinations.
“Through a miscommunication by Interior Health, the school district began organizing teachers to be immunized starting last weekend. We thank the school district for their quick response and for their support throughout the past year,” according to a statement attributed to Dr. Albert de Villiers, chief medical health officer. ....
