MADISON, Wis. Madison police took a 13-year-old into custody over the weekend after he reportedly crashed a stolen vehicle on Madison’s west side, injuring one person in the process.
According to an incident report, police were dispatched to the intersection of Gammon Road and the westbound Beltline off ramp shortly after 12:15 a.m. on Memorial day for a report of a crash. When officers arrived, they found one of the cars was unoccupied. The driver of the other vehicle was transported to a local hospital.
A subsequent investigation revealed that a 13-year-old was driving the stolen car at the time of the crash. Investigators said the stolen vehicle was traveling at high speeds and without its headlights on just before the crash.

MADISON (WKOW) The Madison Police Department have closed down eastbound US Highway 12 between Whitney Way and Verona Road due to an investigation into a weapons violation.

According to a tweet from the police department, the blockage will last approximately 30 minutes. There is no information as of now on any injuries or suspects.
A 27 News crew confirmed a car at the Speedway on Raymon Road has several bullet holes in the passenger side. A representative for the MPD would not confirm if the two incidents are connected. A large police presence is in the area there, including parts of the property blocked off with police tape.

MADISON, Wis. The eastbound Beltline is currently blocked between Gammon Road and Whitney Way for a police investigation.
The Madison Police Department says officers are on the Beltline searching for evidence of a possible weapons offense that happened earlier Thursday. As of 1:45 p.m., police said the closure should last approximately 30 minutes.
People are being asked to avoid the eastbound Beltline in that area and find a different route until officers leave the scene.
