Urbanna Agency Wins Award From State Council

An Urbanna agency that helps older homeless individuals receives the Best Practices Award from the Commonwealth Council on Aging. The Southside Sentinel reports Stable Foundations for Older Adults Experiencing Homelessness received the $5,000 first place award from the council which acknowledges organizations whose innovative programs can be replicated across the commonwealth. Bay Aging started Stable Foundations 3 years ago and since then moved 31 tenants into housing and served close to 190 older adults with its homeless response system. ....
