“A review of council’s database shows that a resident contacted council in July 2020 to raise concerns about the speed of vehicles on Carnarvon Dr.”
The spokeswoman said an investigation was conducted in the same month following the complaint.
“The investigation found that the majority of drivers who use Carnarvon Drive travel at a speed of 49km/h or less,” the spokeswoman said.
“The Speed Limit Review guidelines establish a speed limit of 50km/h to be appropriate for this street.
“Traffic calming devices are considered in locations where there is both a demonstrated wide spread issue of non-local through traffic as well as an evident speeding issue.” ....
