First Saint-Nazaire Blades Touch Down in France

The first shipment of wind turbine blades for the Saint-Nazaire offshore wind farm has arrived in France.
United Wind Logistics’ module deck carrier Vestvind arrived at the Nantes Saint-Nazaire Port loaded with six sets (18 units) of wind turbine blades.

The 480 MW Saint-Nazaire offshore wind farm, also known as Parc du Banc de Guérande, will comprise 80 GE Haliade 150-6MW turbines.
Vestvind arrived at Saint-Nazaire from Castellon, Spain, where the blades were manufactured by LM Wind Power, a subsidiary of GE Renewable Energy.
Once operational in the summer of 2022, Saint-Nazaire will become the first commercial-scale wind farm installed in French waters. ....
