JAMMU, May 3: Government has placed under suspension the ‘high-profile’ and ‘well-connected’ the then PRO of the then Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Kewal Krishan Sharma, who is also a Forest Guard, in the Disproportionate Assets (DA) case registered against him by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).
He is also facing another FIR registered for making fake and fabricated entries in service book and the same is still under investigation.
“Pending enquiry, Kewal Krishan Sharma, son of Gian Chand Sharma of village Kachrial in Pallanwala area of Akhnoor Tehsil and presently residing in Patta Paloura area of Jammu, the then PRO to the then Deputy Chief Minister of J&K, is placed under suspension with immediate effect”, reads an order issued by Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, General Administratio ....

SRINAGAR, Dec 30: Jammu and Kashmir administration has suspended two executive engineers and 11 other officers over charges of “delinquency”. The exact nature of the charges is not known or spelt out.
The suspensions were made public vide government order today that said, “Pending enquiry, the delinquent officers/officials of Power Development Department and Finance Department are hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect, in terms of Rule 31 of Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956 (sic.).”
The officers-cum-officials, as per the order, include Mohammad Yousuf Baba, the then Executive Engineer, Power Development Department (PDD) Sumbal; Aftab Ahmad Khan, the then Executive Engineer, PDD Sumbal; Mushtaq Ahmad Malik, the then Senior Assistant, PDD Sumbal; Riyaz Ahmad Wani, the then Junior A ....

13 J&K power, finance department officials suspended for misappropriation of funds | India News

SRINAGAR: J&K government on Wednesday suspended 13 officials of power development department (PDD) and finance department for allegedly drawing salaries of “fake PDD employees” at Sumbal in Bandipora district of North Kashmir in 2018. The suspended officials include chief engineer of J&K Power Corporation Limited Mohammad Yousuf Baba, who is currently posted in Jammu. Baba was executive engineer of PDD at Sumbal at the time of the alleged crime, committed in connivance with finance department officials.
The general administration department (GAD) order said: “Pending enquiry, the delinquent officers/officials of Power Development Department and Finance Department are hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect, in terms of Rule 31 of Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956 (sic).” ....
