SINGAPORE: Malaysian cargo drivers who deliver essentials such as fruits and vegetables to Singapore have welcomed the move by the Singapore Government to offer COVID-19 vaccinations.
With the vaccination, they hope that waiting time at the land checkpoints due to COVID-19 tests could be shortened.

On Monday (Mar 8), Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MOH) announced that selected cargo drivers and accompanying personnel who enter the country from Malaysia on a regular basis will be offered vaccinations later this month. ....

Johor wants Singapore to continue RGL, says MB

The Mentri Besar said the state government wanted the island republic to continue with the RGL.
“We respect Singapore’s decision but we will be sending in a request to Putrajaya on the matter as it involves the governments of both countries.
“I have forwarded the matter to the Prime Minister (Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin) who will bring it up during the Cabinet meeting this Wednesday.
‘’Foreign Minister (Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein) is also expected to discuss it further with his Singapore counterpart, ” he told a virtual press conference yesterday.
Hasni said the RGL was important as it allowed many industries that have Singaporean investors to run their operations smoothly. ....
