PIGEON FORGE — The city’s next hotel will offer extended stay suites with a full kitchen within walking distance of the Leconte Center, The Island and the Cal Ripken Experience.
Gibson Properties held a groundbreaking ceremony Thursday for a new, 152-room Residence Inn by Marriott on Teaster Lane.
The new hotel will sit beside the city’s new surface parking lot and the new pedestrian bridge that takes people safely over Teaster Lane and to the LeConte Center and The Island. It’s a short distance from the Cal Ripken Experience, as well.
“It was a perfect fit for us,” said Michelle Arline, vice president of sales and marketing for Gibson. ....
