Burlington s Pride in the Park returns with community support

Just as they had done in 2019, members of Burlington s LGBTQ community descended on Crapo Park Saturday to celebrate who they are.
Pride in the Park, Burlington s Pride festival, began in 2018 when people threatened to crash a Pride celebration Burlington High School student Aiden Orton was having with his friends. The threats spurred adult members of Burlington s LGBTQ community to rally around the teen and the event, working with Orton to arrange for vendors to be present, as well as for a parade. 
It grew substantially in 2019, but COVID-19 derailed things last year when Burlington Pride, the organization that since has taken over the event s planning, had to hold a much smaller event. ....
