State trooper known for Thruway patrols charged in drug case

ALBANY A veteran state trooper who is well known for his aggressive patrols along the Thruway was arrested recently in Ulster County and charged with drug possession as part of a spin-off investigation into a Greene County drug ring, officials said.
Trooper Robert C. Coleman, 46, who joined the State Police in 2000 and lives in Slingerlands, was charged with misdemeanor drug possession following his arrest. The investigation was handled, in part, by the State Police Special Investigations Unit. ....
