A woman told police her speedometer âwas outâ when she was caught driving at 118km per hour on a road near Clermont.
Police officers were travelling south on Gregory Developmental Road near Belyando Crossing on September 25, 2020, when they saw a vehicle driving at speed towards them and recorded a speed of 118km/hr in a 100km/hr zone.
Rebecca Fay Potts pleaded guilty at Clermont Magistrates Court on April 14 to disobeying the speed limit.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Paul Cramp said when police spoke to Potts, she thought she was travelling about 115km/hr in a 110km/hr zone. ....

Police probe Isaac truck rollover, road closure

A truck with a rear-trailer attached has overturned and blocked traffic on a thoroughfare road in the Isaac region.
But the driver did not alert authorities despite the vehicle blocking one lane of Gregory Developmental Road at Frankfield for almost 12 hours.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said an officer came across the scene at 6.29am Sunday but the crash happened about 9.30pm Saturday.
He said a truck recovery team left Mackay at 8am to clear the scene.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said there were no calls made for help from Frankfield overnight.

Young woman hospitalised after rollover on highway

A young woman has been hospitalised following a single-vehicle rollover north of Clermont.
The woman in her 20s sustained minor injuries when the vehicle she was travelling in rolled on Gregory Developmental Road, Belyando, about 3.40pm on Tuesday.
Queensland Ambulance Service attended the incident near Twin Hills Road.
Paramedics took the woman to Charters Towers Hospital in a stable condition.
