Work on Highway 148 through Laurentian Valley expected to begin late summer 2022

LAURENTIAN VALLEY – Major construction work to upgrade and improve the stretch of Highway 148 running through the township from Pembroke to Greenwood Road could begin as early as summer 2022, council recently heard.
At the April 20 meeting, Chris Belanger, Ministry of Transporation Ontario (MTO) Highway 148 project manager, told council, the project was about one-third of the way through the overall process and he was hopeful it could be tendered about a year from now.
