Toddler shot in rural Cleveland County
2-year-old boy hospitalized after shooting

CLEVELAND COUNTY, N.C. (WBTV) - A 2-year-old boy was shot Sunday morning in Lawndale.
The incident was called in around 10:30 a.m. on Douglas Street. Medics arrived to find the young child wounded inside a home.
Cleveland County Sheriff Alan Norman said the child suffered serious injuries but was alert at the scene. The boy was later airlifted to a Charlotte hospital.
“First and foremast we need to keep that child in our prayers,” Norman said. “This is unfortunate and uncalled for.” ....
