Eastern Cape male nurse implicated in sexual assault case suspended, says health MEC

An Eastern Cape nurse has been suspended after he was arrested for sexual assault.
A woman, who accompanied a child to hospital, allegedly fell victim to the nurse at Holy Cross Hospital in Flagstaff last week Thursday.
The provincial health department has since ​launched an investigation into the matter.
On Wednesday, Eastern Cape health MEC Nomakhosazana Meth condemned the incident.
“It is alleged that a male nurse accosted a woman who was escorting her child to Nelson Mandela Academic Hospital for specialist care when he allegedly took her to a consulting room where the alleged sexual assault occurred,” said Meth. ....
