34-year-old Elizabeth man fatally struck by pickup truck in Roselle Park, police say

The identity of the victim was not immediately released.
The collision occurred on the 100 block of East Westfield Avenue and Dalton Street in Roselle Park around 5:25 p.m., police said.
The 53-year-old driver of the 2012 Dodge Ram pickup truck was driving eastbound on East Westfield Avenue when the crash occurred and remained at the scene afterward, police said. The Elizabeth resident was taken to an area hospital with significant injuries and later died, police said.
East Westfield Avenue was closed for approximately three hours while Roselle Park police and the Union County Police Department Traffic Unit investigated the crash. ....
