87-year-old dies after being injured in crash

An 87-year-old man has died from complications of injuries that resulted from a car crash last month, the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office said Thursday.
John R. Griffith, of South Whitehall Township, died Wednesday evening at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Salisbury Township. The death was ruled an accident.
Griffith at about 12:45 p.m. Dec. 21 was driving a 2020 Lincoln MKZ sedan east on Spring Creek Road, preparing to turn left to head north on Trexlertown Road, in Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police at Fogelsville.
The collision occurred when Griffith turned directly in front of a 2020 GMC Terrain driven west on Spring Creek Road by a 45-year-old man from nearby Alburtis, according to police. ....
