ESR expands Japan Logistics Fund III to $1.35b

Pan-Asia logistics real estate platform ESR announced that it has upsized ESR Japan Logistics Fund III (RJLF3) from 75 billion yen ($675 million) to 150 billion yen in total capital commitment.
Fund III is ESR’s development joint venture with Dutch pension fund APG and a global institutional investor. It focuses on the development of large-scale logistics facilities in the major metropolitan areas of Japan.
ESR Group head of Fund Management & Capital Josh Daitch said the supply of modern institutional-quality logistics assets in Japan remains low while Japanese household online shopping usage grew 19% in 2020, up 11% year to date. ....
