Remittance loyalty programme on the cards - Newspaper

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said the government will soon launch a `National Remittance Loyalty Programme’ for overseas Pakistanis to provide them incentives for their contributions to the country’s development.
While presiding over a meeting on remittances on Friday, the prime minister highlighted the need for taking measures to provide more facilities to the Pakistanis living abroad.
The programme will be launched in collaboration with Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR), National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra), State Life Insurance Corporation (SLIC), Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF), Benevolent and Old Age Employees Fund and other government agencies. Tax collection 18pc higher: Facilitating expats yielding dividends, says PM Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan Friday appreciated the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) for achieving the historic level of tax revenue of Rs4,732 billion in 2020-21, exceeding the target of Rs4,691 billion and 18 percent higher than the last year.
The prime minister tweeted, “I commend efforts of FBR for achieving historic level of tax revenues of Rs4,732 billion in 2020-21 - exceeding target of Rs4,691bn & 18% higher than last year. This performance is testimony to the strong economic revival spurred by our government s policies”.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan Friday chairing a meeting on increase in foreign remittances. The premier directed the ministries concerned to consider extending more incentives to the overseas Pakistanis to attract maximum remittances. ....

Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that projects of Rawalpindi Lai Business District and Gujranwala Development Plan will accelerate economic activity and provide direct benefits to the common people.
Chairing a weekly meeting of the National Coordination Committee for Housing, Construction, and Development on Friday, the PM directed the concerned authorities to seek the opinion of experts from the private sector to effectively plan these projects.
Khan also emphasised the need to formulate alternative plans to achieve maximum economic benefits from the projects while instructing that these projects be completed within the stipulated timeline. ....
