CARENCRO â The City of Carencro is working to address concerns that come with major development. The new Amazon sorting facility will bring with it 1,400 jobs, but some also worry it will be a prime location for traffic issues.
Tuesday night, DOTD held a meeting to address those concerns.
Drivers that spoke during the meeting say it s the intersection at Hector Connoly Road off of I-49 that concerns them the most. Many say during rush hour, they become gridlocked.

MANSEHRA: The people of Oghi tehsil on Tuesday said that they were being deprived of wheat flour being sold at the subsidised price of Rs860 per 20kg bag by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.
“Though the Pakhtunkhwa government claims to supply enough wheat flour at the specified outlets in Oghi and rest of the province, we have been experiencing its shortage since the start of the programme early this year,” Liaqat Zaman, a local told reporters in Oghi.
A group of locals led by Zaman said that the flour mills were being supplied with subsidised wheat for grinding and supplying it to specified sale points to sell a 20kg bag at the price of Rs860 but people were deprived of it. ....

The Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council has responded to questions over whether Taiwan residents who have received COVID-19 vaccines will be exempted from quarantines upon arrival in the mainland, saying that multiple factors will be taken into consideration for further approval.
Spokesperson Zhu Fenglian said at a press briefing on Wednesday that the related authorities need to take various aspects into consideration comprehensively before making any decisions to adjust COVID-19 control measure for compatriots in the island of Taiwan coming to the mainland.
However, Taiwan s entry ban for mainland residents remains the biggest obstacle that hinders the normal communication between the island and the mainland, added Zhu, expressing her willingness to bring the communication between the compatriots across the Taiwan Straits back to normal. ....
