The incumbent Town Clerk easily won re-election in unofficial results reported Tuesday night on the Dartmouth Community Media website.
Town Clerk Sarah Haskell Arruda piled up more than 1,200 votes and easily defeated challenger Kelsi Power-Spirlet by nearly a four to one margin.

Voters also shot down an amendment to the Town Charter that would have made the Town Clerk s job an appointed rather than an elected position.
Voters decided to keep the post an elected position by a vote of 893-to-551.
In other races, Christian Pope won a seat on the Dartmouth Board of Health, defeating Darci Moran. And Kevin Estes won a 5-year seat on the Planning Board, besting Jane Pansire. ....
