SCITUATE – Neighbors complained during public comment at the Scituate Town Council meeting last Thursday for a resident’s target practice so loud and long it was described as “horrific.”
Scituate resident Heather Card of 198 Old Danielson Pike said her neighbors shoot guns in their backyard for target practice several times a week for multiple hours at a time.
Card said the noise is so loud and disruptive she cannot have people out in her yard for outdoor parties for gatherings or go outside for yard work. Shooting typically begins with quieter, assumed smaller guns, and goes into louder, rapid-fire type target practice throughout the day. ....
