Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today said several countries have expressed interest to provide Covid-19 vaccines to Bangladesh, and the country will receive those to ensure vaccination up to rural level.
We have procured three crore (doses) of Covid-19 vaccine. The Indian government has sent 20 lakh doses as gift. Other countries are also willing to provide (vaccines). We ll take those so that we can ensure vaccination up to rural level, she said.
The Prime Minister said this while laying the foundation stone of Kumudini International Institute of Medical Sciences and Cancer Research (KIIMS CaRe) at Narayanganj. She joined the programme virtually from her official residence Gono Bhaban. ....

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today laid foundation stone of Kumudini International Institute of Medical Sciences and Cancer Research (KIIMS CaRe) in Narayanganj town today.
The Prime Minister unveiled the foundation stone plaque of KIIMS CaRe virtually from her official residence Gono Bhaban around 10:45am.
Kumudini Welfare Trust of Bengal, one of the most well-known philanthropic organisations in Bangladesh, organised the programme in Khanpur area, reports our Narayanganj correspondent.
While addressing the programme, the Prime Minister said Bangladesh will go one step ahead in healthcare sector once KIIMS CaRe is constructed. ....

Dhaka, Feb 14 (IANS): Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday said that the country had procured three crore Covid-19 vaccine doses already, while other nations have also expressed interest to provide them supplies.
The Prime Minister was speaking after virtually laying the foundation stone of Kumudini International Institute of Medical Sciences and Cancer Research (KIIMS CaRe) at Narayanganj, from her official residence GonoBhaban.
We made advance payment when the research was going on and the World Health Organisation did not give approval, but I have made the advance payment so that we could get it early to save the country from the Covid-19 pandemic, Hasina said, adding that there was some doubt and confusion at the initial stage among people about the Covid-19 vaccine. ....

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said many countries have expressed their interest in providing novel coronavirus vaccines to Bangladesh, and the country will receive all those for ensuring vaccination up to rural level.
We have procured three crore vaccine doses. The Indian government has sent 20 lakh doses as gift. Other countries are willing to provide the shots. We will take all those so that we can ensure vaccination up to rural level. We will take steps in this regard, she said.
