Chandigarh: At least six patients on oxygen support in a private hospital in Amritsar died following a disruption to the oxygen supply in the facility last night. Of them, five patients were suspected to be Covid positive.
While confirming the development, Deputy Commissioner, Amritsar, Gurpreet Singh Khera told ThePrint Saturday morning that his team was at the hospital to assess why supply to the hospital was disrupted. ....

Chandigarh: While the district administration of holy city Amritsar claims to have sufficient stock of oxygen, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC ) and many private hospitals are crying foul over the poor supply of oxygen with SGPC taking up the issue with the Punjab government for the early restoration of normal supplies of medical essentials in wake of spike in Covid 19 cases.

Amritsar (Punjab) [India], March 12 (ANI): A cycle rally was organised in Amritsar on Friday to kick start celebrations for 75 years of India s Independence.
We are celebrating the country s 75th year of independence. Throughout the year, several other competitions for essay-writing, painting and plantation drive will also take place to celebrate our freedom, said Deputy Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Khera.
