Police nab 18 in RM1.4 million CBT case | The Malaysian Insight

MALACCA police have detained 18 individuals, including three women, for their alleged involvement in a criminal breach of trust (CBT) case involving a scaffolding company, which resulted in a loss of RM1.4 million.
State police chief Abdul Majid Mohd Ali said all the suspects, aged between 19 and 61, were arrested in simultaneous raids at two locations in Gebeng, Pahang, and Paka, Terengganu on May 19.

KUALA LUMPUR, April 5 The High Court trial on the US$12.1 million (RM50.4 million) criminal breach of trust case involving former Malaysian External Intelligence Organisation (MEIO) director-general Datuk Hasanah Abdul Hamid today was told that six Omega luxury watches of various models were bought by an individual at a luxury watch store at Pavilion three years ago.
The shop’s sales consultant Chua Sook Shin @ Miss Juraiporn Chua, 29,  said all six watches were worth between RM20,000 and RM40,000 and were paid in cash, totalling RM142,410 by an individual. ....

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): The High Court trial on the US$12.1mil (RM50.4 mil) criminal breach of trust case involving former Malaysian External Intelligence Organisation (MEIO) director-general Datuk Hasanah Abdul Hamid on Monday (April 5) was told that six Omega luxury watches of various models were bought by an individual at a luxury watch store at Pavilion three years ago.
The shop’s sales consultant, Chua Sook Shin @ Miss Juraiporn Chua, 29, said all six watches were worth between RM20,000 and RM40,000 and were paid in cash, totalling RM142,410 by an individual.
On May 3,2018, I was on duty from 10am to 10pm at the premises. My colleague Jowy Kong Kim Kee (Jowy) was also on duty. At around noon, four male customers came into the shop and asked about several Omega watches. ....

'No consent for withdrawal'


KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court heard that the withdrawal of RM17.9mil from Yayasan Akalbudi funds was a criminal breach of trust because there was no consent from the charity foundation’s board of trustees.
Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) investigating officer Muhammad Fazli Zulkifli, 36, testified yesterday that the withdrawal from the foundation’s Affin Bank account to be transferred into a Maybank account belonging to Messrs Lewis & Co, the foundation’s trustee, was instructed by Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
The 93rd prosecution witness was being re-examined by deputy public prosecutor Sazilee Abdul Khairi during the trial of the former deputy prime minister who is facing corruption, abuse of power and money laundering charges involving millions of ringgit in funds from Yayasan Akalbudi. ....
