Mold and rot can cause health problems and do serious damage to your house, so itâs best to take steps to prevent them.
The first signs of mold are darkened wood, water stains on your ceilings and water marks around bath vents. When you detect mold in your bathroom, you should address it quickly, before it spreads further. Pay attention to exhaust fans and vent ducts, where condensation will frequently collect. ....

CHILTON CO., Ala. (WBRC) - Verbena High School was placed on lockdown Friday morning after the Chilton County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officer found a bomb threat written on a bathroom wall in the school.
The message was found after 8:30 a.m. and the school was evacuated and placed on lockdown.
The Sheriff’s Office Facebook page said the students are in a safe location.
Deputies gave the all clear a few hours later. ....

Who would put four tiny kittens, less than one-week-old, into a bag and dump them beside a road? Most of us can’t imagine such a heartless act, but sadly some people sit very low on the empathy scale when it comes to animals.
An Alberton resident found the babies by pure chance while she was out walking early one morning. They were inside a plastic shopping bag under some bushes.
Another neighbour who was out walking her dog kindly offered to bring the foursome to RSPCA’s Lonsdale shelter. The forecast temperature on this mid-February day was 38C. ....
