“We are still hopeful we will reach an agreement by the midnight deadline,” the union added.

The union representing Glencore miners in Sudbury says it is continuing to negotiate with the company to reach a new collective agreement.
“We are striving for improvements in our pension, wages and benefits, as well as our top survey issues as asked by you the membership to reach a fair and equitable collective agreement,” Mine Mine Local 598/Unifor said in a bargaining update posted to its website. ....
