court on Wednesday sentenced a 56-year-old man with 10 years of rigorous imprisonment for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old physically challenged and HIV-positive girl.
The incident was reported in June 2018 at a shelter home located in Budhwar Peth.
The court observed, Sexual violence, apart from being a dehumanising act, is an unlawful invasion in the right of privacy and sanctity of a female. It is not just a serious blow to her supreme honour but also offends her dignity and leaves behind an unforgettable scar. ....
