Children’s Health Services Director Dr. Joseph Bocchini said they need COVID-positive participants and know early results for people with comorbidities show the treatment reduces the rate of hospitalization by 70 percent and the length of symptoms by four days. The objective is to enroll enough people to study the effects of Regeneron on pregnant women and children, but Bocchini said with COVID numbers declining it will be a challenge. “It is worth it for those individuals who are infected because it gives them an opportunity to participate if they desire,” said Bocchini. ....
