Tweed Heads police are investigating a fire at the Kingscliff football club which started in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
A NSW Fire & Rescue spokesman said crews from Kingscliff, Tweed Heads and Banora Point attended Shell St in Kingscliff to a building fire at 2.31am.

Fire and Rescue Kingscliff crew posted on social media that they were called to a âbin alightâ at the Cudgen Cricket Club.

Cricket is well and truly in full swing with the LJ Hooker One Day league drawing towards finals, we have compiled the list of the league’s most damaging batsmen.
Abe Crawford – Tintenbar East Ballina Cricket Club
Crawford has been the in-form batsman in the LJ Hooker one day league with a commanding record of 572 runs at 52, including three hundreds. Crawford’s highest score of 109 came against Pottsville in Round 5 as he made it look easy in a game where no one else passed 49.
Alec Williams – Cudgen Cricket Club
Alex Williams has been relentless with the bat after recording 439 runs at 87. From just eight games, Williams has made them count with three centuries, including 139 not out against Casino in round 9 which set up the game for Cudgen. Williams efforts have earnt him selection in the Bush Blues in the McDonalds Country Championships.
Callum Pritchard - Cudgen Cricket Club Callum Pritchard has been pulling double duties between Under-16s and Coastal League games for Cudgen this season to good effect. With the gloves, Pritchard has claimed three wickets and two stumpings to go with a couple of impressive middle-order cameos with the bat.
David Parkes - Terranora Lakes Cricket Club David Parkes is another who has shown he can do it with the ball and in the field. Parkes has claimed five catches so far and with his haul of 10 wickets at 20, he s a key player for Terranora.

Matt Irwin - Bangalow Cricket Club Matt Irwin tops the charts at the halfway point of the Coastal league with 374 runs at 62, including one century and one fifty. The highlight so far was Irwin s standout effort in round 6, scoring 110 not out from first drop. It provided the foundation of Bangalow s total of 4/237 and proved too much for Alstonville who were rolled for 75.
