Lee Lam Thye: Enforcement of SOP must be done with integrity

Speaking as the Alliance of Safe Community chairman, Lee said the statement by Melaka police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Abdul Majid Mohd Ali that police will not be selective when issuing compounds is timely and has struck the right chord.
It s not only the police; a fair and non-discriminative approach should be also upheld by every enforcement authority responsible for ensuring the smooth implementation of Covid-19 SOP, he said when interviewed here on Tuesday (Jan 26).
Lee said enforcement officers should also execute their duties in a friendlier manner especially when issuing compounds relating to Covid-19 SOP and MCO violations without antagonising the offenders. ....
